Event Details
The Big Muddy Run is a fun run to support the Children's Museum of La Crosse. Approximately 250 participants will run, climb, splash, climb, crawl and wallow through mud pits and obstacles along a 5K or 1 mile course.
Volunteers are need to assist with the following:
- Registration/Check-in
- Staff refreshment stations
- Assist with parking
- Staff spectator/children's activities
- Videotape the event
- Staff bag check area
- Help with set up and clean up
- Assist, direct and motivate participants on the course
- And more!
Each pre-registered volunteer will receive a long-sleeved event shirt, a unique experience, and our super-sloppy thanks!

The museum recieves no government or United Way funding. This Big Muddy Run is our biggest fundraiser of the year and will allow us provide great hands on learning and fun for over 65,000 visitors per year! Thanks for jumping in!
